Spiritual Practices

I teach practical eastern and western techniques for alleviating stress, anxiety, fear, and other limiting thoughts, beliefs, behaviors and feelings. I teach breath work. I teach yoga. I teach meditation. (I’d love for you to check out specifics). I teach ways to live in the world that offer relief, peace, calm and joy amid chaos. I listen. I see. I feel. I care. I hold safe space. I experiment. I inspire. I focus. I connect. I model spaciousness. I support honesty & gentle gradual openings. I guide. I reflect. I help you design and develop the life you most want. I believe in you. I help you weave the fabric of your life into wise, warm and wondrous living.

I walk and pet my dog. I cherish nature. I engage my senses and I disengage from my senses. I meditate. I pray. I read non-fiction and fiction daily. I cook. I eat healthfully. I drink a glass of wine every now and again. I listen to Wisdom and Compassion podcasts. I walk the beach. I listen to beautiful music. I play cello. I talk to four very valued friends often. I value 12-Step recovery programs. I try to be a loving wife, sister, daughter, friend and parent. I practice compassion and empathy toward others & myself. I am merciful and forgiving of others & myself. I laugh at myself. I practice not rushing and a gentle vigilance that helps me sustain valued self-care.

How We will Work Together

Meditation.

Twenty-first century mindfulness and meditation practices are available for us everywhere. I offer an eclectic blend of meditation and psycho-emotional guided healing practices honed over the years to fit your needs. The generous and prolific online world of Gil Fronsdal and dharmaseed.org and Tara Brach at IMCW.org, along with the companion book used in all of my meditation courses: A Year of Living Mindfully, 52 Quotes & Weekly Mindfulness Practices by Richard Fields, Ph.D. Editor and Co-author, I have had the great good fortune to personally be in the presence of and study with Belleruth Naparstek, Joan Borysenko, Jack Kornfield, and Yogi Bhajan, to name a few.
Breath work, body scans, mantra, mala, song, walking, movement, soul collage, silence, guided imagery, affirmations and more, inspire my work.
One-on-one or in a open group or a private group. Online LIVE through ZOOM. In my office, a sacred space. Here through the free pre-recorded meditations or the paid membership. Through long-term ZOOM study groups using Richard Fields book. Find the way that best suits your personal needs.

Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy.

Though at times we look for outside sources to guide us, somewhere deep inside we know that we must slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and listen to our own inner voice. Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, through a combination of classical yoga techniques and elements of contemporary body-mind psychology, encourages this deeper connection with self.

Yoga practices.

From lightly strengthening to restorative - the posture work is based on individual needs, age and stage of life. Informed by Kripalu, Iyengar, Trauma-Sensitive yoga and Somatic Experiencing – this practice is holistically-geared to meet each specific person exactly where they are. Sessions are for one or two people.
