Phoenix Rising
Yoga Therapy is a combination of classical Yoga and
elements of contemporary client-centered and
body-mind psychology. Empowering you to find your
own inner healer, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy will
guide you back to your inner resources.
Based on the
belief that true healing takes place from the inside
out, a PRYT session combines the ancient science of
yoga with modern elements of body/mind psychology.
You will move into carefully selected postures with
the support of your PRYT practitioner. Here, with
awareness focused on the sensations in your body,
you will enter into dialogue, listening with
compassion and awareness to the wisdom of the body.
Through this awareness, you may find yourself
releasing emotions or beliefs that have manifested
in chronic pains and aches, and you'll feel deeply
relaxed as a result.
Much of the work can be done in a chair. Props will
be used for comfort and safety. Through one-on-one
privately scheduled sessions, you receive guidance
in meditation, breathing and move into assisted
yogic body postures, to explore the sensations that
are present in your body and the issues present in
your life. Not coincidentally, there’s often a link.
Add elements of contemporary body/mind psychology
and you create a powerful, safe, natural and
effective path to wellness. And, feel deeply
relaxed, integrated, expansive and nurtured as a
result.
